With Liberty and Justice For All.....

Hello Everyone!!! Well, I got a fabulous little package in the mail the other day! Magnolia had sent me the new Freedom stamps to work with and I couldn't wait to dive in and play! My favorite stamp in the set is 'Liberty Tilda'. She just looks so strong and powerful. Pauline really did a fantastic job illustrating her. Being an American, I can truly appreciate what she stands for. I actually got chills when I saw Pauline's illustration of the Statue of Liberty because she is such a powerful visual reminder of the freedoms that we all have in the United States of America. I don't think there is anyone in this country that does not know someone that has served in the US military and fought to preserve our freedoms. Every time I decide to try something new, like starting a rubber stamp company, I remember that it's because of these freedoms that I CAN!!!

Anyway, the Magnolia-licious DT has a new challenge that this time around was decided upon by the fabulously talented sweetheart Mindy Baxter! She asked us all to create something with a 'water' theme. That doesn't mean that you have to have water in your design though. There just has to be some element of water. It could be the color of water for instance. And that is exactly what I did.

And, of course, you too can join in on the challenge over at the Magnolia-licious Highlites Challenge Blog!!!! There is always a fantastic prize, but most of all it's just fun!!! I hope to see a project from you :-)

Here's my card.......

With Liberty and Justice For All
I had sooooo much fun coloring this image!!!!!!! It's actually a little lighter in person, but that's what happens with photography! At least when I'm behind the camera ;-) Anyway, I colored this sweet little Liberty Tilda with Copic markers. I stamped the Freedom Background all around as my sentiment. There is absolutely no design paper on this card. I was working on it while Claudia was over and when I finished it I asked her what she thought. She really seemed to like it and suggested that I forgo the use of dp's. I was originally going to cut into the card with one of my dies, but I thought her idea was genius and I absolutely love how it turned out! Thank you for your help Claudia!!! She also suggested the simple layout and ribbon. So basically, I did the coloring and she designed the card! But I'm still calling it mine!!!!! :-)

This is just another view for the heck of it :-)

Well, that's it for me today! I hope you'll head on over to Magnolia-licious to get your own Freedom stamps. They are totally gorgeous and will not last long in stores. This is one of the best collections yet!!! If you don't get all 4 I'm sure you'll regret it later ;-) So go get em'!!!!!

Hugs to you all!!!!!

Angie
