Roses Are Red...

Hey There Everybody! I found myself alone this past weekend when my hubby announced on Saturday morning that he wanted to take our son to an amusement park for the weekend. Who was I to say 'no'? It wasn't easy getting them a hotel reservation on such short notice, but with persistance anything is possible!

I took advantage and made my way to my craftroom to finish a card with an image that I painted the day before. Here's my card. I hope you like it.

Roses Are Red
She's Tulle Skirt Tilda and she's sitting on Elegant Roses. I paired them with dp's from Crafty Secrets 'Radiant' paper pad. The cs is by ANW Crestwood.

I used my circle Nestabilities to cut the image. I also used the Magnolia Vintage Tag die for a backdrop to the Stampabilities sentiment. The lace was gathered by hand on a 1/4" strip of Scor-Tape and tucked underneath the edges of the image. Diana of Magnolia-licious gave me some Scor-Tape this weekend at CHA to try and I'm ADDICTED!!! Thank you Diana!!! I've never used a tape with such a strong hold. I will never again use another tape product on my craft projects! The lace and string of pearls are from my stash. The flowers are all from Wild Orchid Crafts. The pearls in the corners are from Making Memories and I sprayed the entire card with a coat of pearl Glimmer Mist. Oh, I almost forgot, I applied icicle Stickles to the flowers.

I colored the image with a combination of Copic markers and watercolors with Ranger Distress Inks. Here are the details:

Copics: E00, 02, RV21, N1, 3, 5, 7

Distress Inks: shabby shutters, peeled paint, weathered wood, stormy sky, worn lipstick, barn door, spun sugar, black soot, walnut stain, spiced marmalade, scattered straw, pine needles

That's all I have to show you today. Thank you so much for stopping by. I hope you enjoyed my card today. I had so much fun making it!

Ciao,

Angie
